Baseline Grace

For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.
- 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)

Radical 'Baseline Grace' approach. It is in and through the Divine nurturing and relationship that we are able to grow, develop, and increase our capacity for the human experience.Fear and hate are often what people are being pushed around by inside their heads. Shifting to Grace brings ease and possibility.Making Christ and His Divine Light, Love, and Life the center of gravity provides the means for wholeness, health, and abundance. in every moment. Right now.Give yourself to Grace.

Capacity / Freedom

"A ship in harbor is safe, but that's not what ships are built for"
- John A Shedd

You wouldn't train for a marathon to get rid of a 'running disorder'. You train to build your capacity to run 26.2 miles.I take the same approach to mental health fitness. First start with what you want to build and grow in your life. Then on that path we will make changes, and do exercises to build capacity.Just like training for a marathon you wouldn't just run the miles, you will most likely make changes throughout your life on how you spend your time and energy. You might change how and when you sleep, your eating and fueling habits, your social situations. etc. The same with your mental health, we will work together on guiding you on making changes in all areas of your life. The goal is to develop capacity for the human experience. Being human means having feelings and thoughts. We will set values of where you want to go. Then take a strategic skills and fitness approach to building the capacity to have more of the human experience on the path of those values.

Embodiment

"It is a true act of dying to everything we are not for the sake of more fully participating in the risen life of Christ."
- Thomas McConkie, At-One-Ment

The path forward leads to both an upward spiral and inward integration of learning how to expand and open all our faculties to greater Light, Love, and Life.On the path to building better mental health it invites the opportunity to become alive in heart, body, and spirit. It is a waking up, and dusting off from our slumber of fear and limiting beliefs. And opening to wonder and awe at ever increasing levels.A process that invites us to leave old things behind so that all things can become new.An embodiment of the human experience directly connected with the Divine.

"You have to accept yourself as you are and God as God is, and trust that He will lead you in a way that may not always feel comfortable, but that is best for you”
- Father Thomas Keating

I had my first major panic attack at age 18. I then went on to serve a 2 year mission for my church away from home where I continued to experience debilitating anxiety, depression, and intrusive thought experiences. I would spend hours and hours in my head feeling more and more guilty and anxious about my life. The more I tried to fix it and control it the more out of control and into downward spirals it went.I later found out that Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) was describing my experience. I met with therapists and even got on medication to try and overcome it.But something deeper in me was stirring. I knew there had to be a better way than medicating and managing a 'disorder'.A good friend referred me to a book called, "You are not a rock" by Mark Freeman. This book was all about "Mental Fitness" I learned that I could overcome my struggles and not just manage them. I was all about that. Between reading the book, coaching with the author (Mark Freeman) and coaching with my Dad I learned to increase my capacity for the human experience. To have any thought or feeling while pursuing my values. This evolved and lead me to a much deeper and profound understanding of my faith and spirituality. I learned that these same skills were helping me improve my ability to accept and channel more Light and Grace in my life.I now find great joy in sharing and guiding others on how to build and grow great mental, emotional, and spiritual freedom.I have been mentoring and coaching since 2023. I find this path beautifully transforming and ever inviting to come to know ourselves and God at deeper levels and empower us into wonder and awe. It is an amazing Adventure that I greatly enjoy guiding and helping others walk as well.

"Rachel is a deeply integrated healer who has brought her skills and spiritual depth to her Foot-Zonology practice. She is open hearted, Christ centered, and healing from the source. I cannot recommend her and Balanced Well Beings enough.I first started seeing Rachel at Balanced Well Beings in 2021 when I was in the middle of SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) withdrawal. I had started taking the medication earlier on in my mental health journey but had since stopped taking them which left an immense toll on my nervous system and body.Working with Rachel and her team was an important part of that healing journey. I continue to work with them to grow, develop, and integrate my body, heart, and mind. I have found Rachel and Balanced Well Beings to be an immense support on the path to healing and further development."- Zac McCulloch

The Meaning of 'Adventum'

'Adventum' is the latin root word for 'adventure'. Symbolizing the journey and adventure of waking up more and more to Divine understandings, capacities, and development. A nod to the idea that it is an Adventure of coming to our most true selves and unifying our selves more with Divine Light and Love.As we learn to let go of the layers of self it is a transformative adventure indeed where Grace and works beautifully combine. It symbolized the north star that as challenges, struggles and difficulties arise on the path that these are not indicators that you are broken but that you are learning, developing and growing in and through those challenges. There is nothing to fix, you are not a problem to solve, but an adventure that is worth exploring with all your heart and mind.Welcome to the Adventure, we are glad you are here.
